Hotel AMY Stories
About ten years ago, I traveled to Paris with my family.
We stayed at a small hotel near the Louvre. It did not have many rooms, and the facilities were far from luxurious — it was closer to a modest guesthouse than a grand hotel. The building showed its age in the furniture and walls, yet it remains one of the most memorable places I have ever stayed.
What made it special was not upscale amenities. It was that the journey began the moment you stepped out of the hotel door.
In the morning, the smell of fresh bread came from the neighborhood bakery. Commuters passed through the alleys. In the evening, you saw more of everyday local life than tourist crowds. It was travel about meeting a city, not ticking off sights — and that small hotel sat at the center of it.
That experience stayed with me for a long time. I began to think that if I ever ran a lodging business, I would want to create a place people remember fondly — not necessarily a flashy one.
Hotel AMY is not a finished hotel. We are closer to a hotel that is just beginning. We do not offer the extensive facilities of a large chain, and we are not always staffed at every hour. But we are clear about the hotel we want to become.
Rather than promising too much, we want to build the basics one step at a time — cleaner rooms, more comfortable spaces, and an environment guests can trust a little more each day.
We want to be remembered, not merely impressive. We want fair prices and genuine comfort — a place where both travelers and business guests can stay without burden and meet the everyday life of the city.
A place where your trip begins when you leave the hotel, not when you start moving. A good base for exploring Seoul and the capital region. A stay that can remain a warm memory for someone.
Hotel AMY is still walking that path, and we want to cherish every step along the way.
A small but bright hotel. A hotel that values comfort over spectacle. A hotel growing little by little to become a good memory. That is what Hotel AMY aspires to be.
